Sandy is the co-creator and creative driving force behind Tubular Brass, a brand new brass and percussion ensemble created to perform contemporary music and develop collaborations with artists from across the musical spectrum.
Whilst firmly rooted in the brass tradition and featuring the UK’s finest players, Tubular Brass aims to bring brass music to a new audience by creating extraordinary projects and collaborations, working with artists from across the musical spectrum. Players are drawn from elite brass bands and professional orchestras, many of whom I have been lucky enough to know and make music alongside for many years.
In addition to "Tubular Bells" the ensemble can also offer an up to 50 minute set of spectacular prog rock arrangements featuring music from bands such as Pink Floyd, Genesis, King Crimson, ELP, Yes, Renaissance and The Alan Parsons Project.
Other major projects and collaborations are in development.
Tubular Brass have already performed at many prestigious venues and festivals including The Royal Albert Hall in London, The Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, the RNCM in Manchester and music festivals such as WOMAD and Blue Dot.
