Adjudicating

Sandy is in increasing demand as an adjudicator having officiated from the 4th through to the Championship section in the National Championships Area Qualifying contests, the British Open Spring Festival, the Scottish Open and the National Youth Band Championships as well as numerous test piece and entertainment contests thoughout the country.

 He is well known for his forthright views on brass band repertoire and is a vocal advocate for championing the use of quality music as a central part of improving the standards of all bands.

He is also known for giving constructive, forthright critiques of performances designed to inform and improve each bands future development.
